Connie Nielsen is one Great Dane (no, not a dog, she’s Danish born and bred), who got her cinematic start in Italy before heading to the U.S. for the big-budget bonanzas that made her famous. That fame first fanned the flames of male libidos in the Keanu Reeves thriller The Devil’s Advocate (1997), playing the K-dude’s Satan-spawned sister who was hell-bent on intimate forbidden family relations. She appeared very nude in the movie’s climactic final scene, with a long, decently lit full-frontal shot that nobody could argue wasn’t awesome. That arousing introduction led to a role in the blockbuster Gladiator (2000), as the wise-beyond-her-years sister of Commodus. That must have been a pleasant change for her, because in Gladiator, it’s her brother, not her, who is bent on the familial taboo, which seems to be a running theme for her. Connie’s star continued to rise in One Hour Photo (2002) and The Hunted (2003). But that doesn’t mean she’s neglected flashing her fine flesh. She wasn’t so innocent in her topless scene for Innocents (2000) and in the foreign art-house thriller Demonlover (2002), about corporate spying and pornographic anime. Connie went back to her devilish ways by showing off her sinful skin. In 2006, lucky audiences picked up a weekly Connie fix by tuning into the boob tube–she played a detective on the NBC hit Law & Order: SVU when Mariska Hargitay got preggers. Connie raised quite a few trouser snakes, as well as quite a stir with her sweat covered, O face featuring poster for Lars von Trier‘s controversial film Nymphomaniac (2013). After baring a bit of butt in the Norwegian drama The Lion Woman (2017) Connie roared into the DC Universe as Amazon Queen Hippolyta, mother of Wonder Woman in both Wonder Woman (2017) and Justice League (2017). She’s continuing the role in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) but if we were wrapped in the lasso of truth, we’d tell you we’d rather see her in a role she could get naked in!
